MUL and Philips Poland sign Cooperation Agreement


On 13th June Knowledge and Innovation Zone of The Medical University of Lodz and Philips Poland signed a cooperation agreement. Prof. Lucyna Woźniak, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations and the Chancellor, Jacek Grabowski PhD were the representatives of the Medical University while Philips Poland was represented by Marcin Bruszewski General Director of Philips Health Systems in Poland and Baltic States and Michał Kępowicz, External Relations Manager.

The two parties expressed their intention to cooperate in research,  education and implementation projects with a view to innovative solutions in coordinated care, telemedicine, chronic diseases of civilization as well as healthy and active ageing. The key assumptions of the agreement also included the promotion of innovative activities in health care and development of the referral center operating in Lodz as part of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP AHA). According to the contract terms, a joint projects proposal and activities timetable will be compiled in the forthcoming months and particular initiatives will be individually regulated in separate arrangements.

The agreement signing was followed by a working meeting where both parties presented their activities and strategic projects. The discussion concerned prospects of financial support application and cooperation expansion to include other healthcare entities such as clinical hospitals.

were appointed as coordinators of the agreement terms implementation.
