OPEN LECTURE ON PHARMACOECONOMICS – HOW TO SPEND MONEY ON MEDICINES WISELY AND SHAPE SMARTER HEALTHCARE
We warmly invite all academic staff (including those from outside the Medical University!), students, doctoral students, and anyone interested in rational healthcare system management to an open lecture as part of the UMED Visiting Professor program.
Prof. Tamás Ágh is a distinguished expert in the field of pharmacoeconomics, combining the experience of a physician, economist, and researcher. He specializes in the analysis of pharmacotherapy costs, health technology assessment, research on treatment adherence, and the development of health policies. In his lecture, he will present in an accessible way the most important practical tools and approaches that enable effective, evidence-based decision-making in healthcare—both at the clinical and systemic levels.
Participation in the lecture is an opportunity to:
- understand how to optimally invest public funds in drug therapies,
- learn about the role of pharmacoeconomics in improving healthcare systems,
- delve into reimbursement mechanisms and the analysis of drug costs and effectiveness,
