Medical University of Lodz is applying for the award of HR Excellence in Research. The distinction is awarded by the European Commission to R & D institutions which adhere to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and thereby create a friendly working environment and transparent recruitment rules for scientific employees.
As we read on Euroaxess website:
The ‘HR Strategy for Researchers’ supports research institutions and funding organizations in the implementation of the Charter & Code in their policies and practices.
The implementation of the Charter & Code principles by research institutions render them more attractive to researchers looking for a new employer or for a host for their research project.
(more information on: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/hrs4r)
The application for “HR Award” is a continuous process which involves regular assessment of the progress in implementation and the compliance with the principles of the Charter and the Code made by foreign experts appointed by the EC. The regular evaluation results determine whether the institution will maintain the “HR Award”.
The possession of the HR Excellence in Research can be rewarded or required in:
- international grant competitions of the European Commission (Horizon 2020),
- national grant competitions of the National Science Centre and National Centre for Research and Development,
- competitions and funding programmes of The Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
411 organisations including research institutes and universities have already received the HR Excellence in Research Award.
