On Friday, June 6, a ceremonial scholarship awards gala took place at the Concert Hall of  Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Lodz. For the 19^th time, the Marshal of Lodz Province honored the most talented students and pupils from the region. This year, 70 young talents from across the voivodeship received scholarships for outstanding academic achievements — including 12 students from the Medical University of Lodz.

First-Degree Scholarship Recipients:

• Wojciech Bocheński – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Zuzanna Granek – 5^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Wojciech Jankowski – 4^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Joanna Kempa – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Krzysztof Koptas – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Kamil Saramowicz – 5^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Andrzej Węgiel – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine

 

Second-Degree Scholarship Recipients:

• Laura Biskup – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Sebastian Gawlak-Socka – 4^th year, Division of Dentistry
• Weronika Gromek – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Paulina Jakubowska – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine
• Maria Możdżan – 6^th year, Faculty of Medicine

The Medical University of Lodz was represented at the ceremony by Prof. Agnieszka Piastowska-Ciesielska, Vice-Rector for Science.

The event was further enriched by a musical performance from students of the Academy of Music in Lodz: Zuzanna Granek, guitar student of Maciej Staszewski PhD, and Paweł Kalinowski, piano student of Prof. Robert Marat. Together, they performed the Concerto for Guitar and Symphony Orchestra “Tribute to Joaquin Rodrigo”, arranged for guitar and piano. Notably, Zuzanna Granek performed in a dual role — as a student of both the Academy of Music and the Medical University of Lodz.
