On Saturday, June 14, 2025, a ceremonial gala was held at the Royal Castle in Warsaw to present diplomas to the laureates of the START program who received scholarships in the 2025 edition.
START scholarships are awarded by the Foundation for Polish Science to young researchers (up to 30 years of age) who have already achieved outstanding scientific accomplishments. The aim of this initiative is to support the most talented young scholars and to encourage their further scientific development. This year marks the 33rd time the scholarships have been awarded!

The ceremony brought together the scholarship recipients, their families, scientific collaborators, and a wide array of representatives from the academic community and scientific institutions.

Among the laureates who received letters of congratulations was Marcin Sochal PhD from the Department of Sleep Medicine and Metabolic Disorders. A scholarship was also awarded to Jędrzej Chrzanowski MD from the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine, who was one of four laureates to receive special recognition for outstanding scientific achievements.

The university authorities were represented at the ceremony by Prof. Piotr Białasiewicz, Vice-Dean for Study Programs and Evaluation at the Medical Division of the Faculty of Medicine.
