AWARDS for BEST MUL TEACHERS
On Thursday, December 7, modern interiors of the Centre of Molecular Studies on Civilisation Diseases ,MOLecoLAB, hosted the 10th jubilee Official Ceremony for the Best Academic Teachers. The top teachers of the Medical University of Lodz were distinguished on the basis of the results of the students’ survey for the academic year 2022/2023 (the total number of completed surveys reached over 43,000). Originally, teachers were assessed in a contest, however, for the last 8 years the evaluation is made via a university-wide students.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Tomasz Kostka, Vice-Rector for Teaching, Prof. Lucyna Woźniak – Vice-Rector for Research Strategy and International Relations, Prof. Anna Kilanowicz-Sapota, Dean of The Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Małgorzata Pikala, Vice-Dean for Teaching, The Faculty of Health Sciences; Prof. Bogusława Pietrzak, Vice-Dean for Pharmacy Division, The Faculty of Pharmacy , Prof. Joanna Sikora, Vice-Dean for Division of Laboratory Medicine, The Faculty of Pharmacy; Prof. Monika Łukomska-Szymańska, Vice-Dean for Science and Teaching Development, Department of General Dentistry; prof. Elżbieta Brzezińska, Chairperson of University Quality Assurance Team, and Paweł Zawieja, Vice – Chancellor for Organisation and Development.
The guests were welcomed by Prof. Tomasz Kostka, who introduced the principles of this year’s contest and thanked the awarded winners for their contribution to the education of medical staff. On behalf of the student’s community, Paweł Bollin expressed their gratitude and congratulations to the awarded teachers.
The distinguished teachers received commemorative statuettes, gifts from The University Council of the Students Government, and again, already for the 5th time, financial awards of PLN 5000.
The ceremony was artistically complemented by MUL students and graduates: the English waltz and the tango were danced by Julia Bartczak and Grzegorz Ksepka, MUL graduates, with Wiktor Śliwiński, 5th year student at The faculty of Medicine, playing the violin.
The event was organised by the Office for Administrative Management of Studies and the University Council of Students Government.
