CEREMONY OF AWARDING DIPLOMAS TO GRADUATES OF THE FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND PRESENTING PROFESSIONAL SYMBOLS TO GRADUATES OF THE NURSING AND MIDWIFERY DEPARTMENT


On 28 November 2025, in Auditorium 1000 of the Clinical and Didactic Centre of the Medical University of Łódź, a ceremony was held to award diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Health Sciences and to confer professional symbols on graduates of the Nursing and Midwifery Department in the academic year 2024/ 2025.

The graduates received their diplomas and letters of congratulations from Prof. Adam Durczyński, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Jolanta Kujawa, MD, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Prof. Ewa Borowiak, PhD, Associate Professor at the University – Vice-Dean for the Nursing and Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The ceremony was attended by invited guests: Magdalena Amrozik – Director of the Health Policy Department of the Marshal’s Office of the Łódź Province, Szymon Kostrzewski – Deputy Director of the Health Policy Department of the Marshal’s Office of the Łódź Province, Ms Aleksandra Kręcka – Deputy Director of the Health and Social Affairs Department of the City of Łódź, Mr Michał Łaz – Provincial Coordinator of the National Council of Physiotherapists, Ms Mirosława Olejniczak – Chairwoman of the Regional Council of Nurses and Midwives in Łódź, Presidents, Chairmen and Members of the Boards of Scientific and Professional Societies, Representatives of National and Provincial Consultants in the fields of Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Midwifery, Emergency Medical Services and Public Health, external stakeholders, directors, head nurses, managers of medical entities and other institutions serving as teaching and research bases, and distinguished employees of the Medical University of Łódź.

  • Paweł Zawieja, M.A. – Chancellor of the Medical University of Łódź;
  • Joanna Kostka, Ph.D., Professor of Health Sciences – Rector’s Representative for Accessibility and Support, Vice-Dean for Uniform Master’s Studies in Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences;
  • Justyna Wojtczak, MA – Director of the Student Services Office;
  • Anna Kilanowicz-Sapota, MD, PhD – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy;
  • Joanna Sikora, PhD, MD, university professor – Vice-Dean for the Laboratory Medicine Department of the Faculty of Pharmacy;

  • Prof. Małgorzata Pikala, PhD in Health Sciences – Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Health Sciences;

  • Robert Irzmański, MD, PhD, university professor – Vice-Dean for Teaching Development and Teaching Infrastructure at the Faculty of Health Sciences;

During the ceremony, graduates of the Faculty of Health Sciences who achieved the best academic results and actively participated in student organisations were honoured.

The awards and distinctions were presented by the sponsors: the Academic Sports Association, the National Chamber of Physiotherapy, the Supreme Chamber of Nurses and Midwives, the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives, the Łódź Branch of the Polish Nursing Association Inter Polska, the Salve Medica Medical Centre and Medicover.

The ceremony was graced by an excellent vocal performance by Ms Julia Miazek, a graduate of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing.
