EIT Awareness Day in Warsaw

On 25th  September the next edition of EIT Awareness Day was organised in Warsaw by The Polish National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU  and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) in Budapest. The participants had an opportunity to learn about the ongoing activities of EIT in Poland and in Europe and to discuss potential cooperation with interested national and European stakeholders in the area of research, business and education.

The event also promoted a unique innovation model that EIT partnership relies on and integrates the top universities, research laboratories and companies within so called The Knowledge Triangle. Innovation Communities, which are functioning as partnerships brought together under the EIT sign, support entrepreneurs and innovators in launching new ideas, help students become entrepreneurs and, last but not least, successfully create innovations.

The conference was attended by: Martin Kern, EIT Interim Director,  Piotr Dardziński, Secretary of State, Ministry of Science and Higher Education,  Beatrice Boots,  Director, EU STEAM Coalition and Zygmunt Krasiński, Director of NCP Poland.

Prof. Lucyna Woźniak, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations of MUL, member of  EIT Health Supervisory Board, participated in one of the discussion panels on how EIT Communities can contribute to the increase of innovation potential in Poland.
