MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF ŁÓDŹ RECOMMENDED FOR FUNDING THREE PROJECTS IN ABM COMPETITION
Over PLN 29 million in funding for the Medical University of Łódź in the competition held by the Medical Research Agency (ABM).
We are pleased to announce that the Medical University of Łódź has received a recommendation for funding three research projects in the ABM competition for the implementation of applied biomedical research (Competition 2024/ABM/03/KPO).
Out of 224 submitted proposals, 57 were selected and recommended for funding. The high rankings of our projects in the competition are a great honor and demonstrate their innovative nature.
- 2nd place – Project led by Prof. Wojciech Młynarski: “RESET: Stem Cells in Congenital Hematopoiesis Disorders – From Advanced Diagnostics to Future Innovative Therapies.”
- 6th place – Project by Prof. Ewa Balcerczak: “Implementation of the LOINC Dictionary in Laboratory Diagnostics and Development of a Prototype Standardization System for Information in Laboratory Diagnostics.”
- 9th place – Project led by Dr. Agata Pastorczak, Prof. of the University: “Unique Population-Based Whole-Genome Studies for Predicting Cancer Risk and Complications of Oncology Treatment in Pediatric Patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Treated with the Uniform cALL-POL Protocol.”
The total funding for all three projects amounts to over PLN 29 million, with the funds coming from the National Reconstruction and Resilience Plan (KPO).
