Modern diagnostic equipment for UMED clinics – support from Lions Clubs Łódź-Ladies
Clinical hospitals have received three modern dermatoscopes, donated through the Lions Clubs Łódź-Ladies initiative. The equipment was donated to three university clinics: the Clinical Oncology Clinic, the Oncological Surgery Clinic, and the Dermatology and Venereology Clinic.
This is another example of fruitful collaboration with community organizations aimed at improving the quality of diagnostics and patient safety. The donated dermatoscopes will be used for non-invasive, rapid, and safe examination of skin lesions, allowing for detailed assessment. The new equipment significantly supports physicians’ daily clinical practice, increasing the effectiveness of cancer prevention and patient comfort.
The official handover of the dermatoscopes took place on January 12, 2026, at the Central Clinical Hospital. The event was attended by representatives of the Medical University of Łódź, the Central Clinical Hospital, clinic management, and representatives of Lions Clubs Łódź-Ladies and the Amazons Association.
Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, bringing together volunteers to improve health, strengthen communities, and support those in need through local and global programs. Lions Clubs Łódź-Ladies actively supports the local community and has been involved in healthcare projects for years, contributing significantly to improving healthcare standards in the region.
