MUL awarded with the Reference Site status again!


European Commission announced the results of the Call for Reference Sites 2019 of European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA). For the second time Medical University of Lodz is among this year’s winners.

MUL application has received three out of four stars, which means that not only have we kept the only Reference Site status in Poland but we have also been assessed more highly. Reference Site status is granted to the organisations which have demonstrated the excellence in development, adoption and scaling up of the innovatiive practices for active and healthy ageing. 77 local and regional organisations have been awarded the status this year. All of them have been appreciated for their activities to comprehensively and strategically address the challenges of the ageing population and to deliver high-standard care and health services.

EIP on AHA (European Innovation Parnership on Active and Healthy Ageing is the innitiative launched by the European Commission and based on the cooperation between the EC and countries, regions, industries, health and social care providers and organisations representing the elderly and patients. The aim of the partnersip is to improve the health status and quality of life of the elderly population as well as increasing their participation in social life.
