MUL coordinates unique event on medication non-adherence held in Italy


The second edition of Skills4Adherence Summer School was held in Pavia, Italy, on 9-13 September 2019. A 5-day symposium included lectures by experts on on medication non-adherence: prof. John Weinman (Institut of Pharmaceutical Sciences, King’s Collage London, UK), prof. Bernard Vrijens (University of Liege, Belgium, COE of Aardex Group), prof. Przemysław Kardas (Medical University of Lodz, Poland, Head of Department of Family Medicine), prof. Anna Giardini (ICS Maugeri, Pavia, Italy, clinical psychology and neurorehabilitation) and prof. Elisio Costa (University w Porto, Portugal, Pharmacy Department).

Summer School aims at better understanding of medication non-adherence, its identification, prevention and its results reduction among healthcare profesionals (including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and students of such faculties). Summer School within Skills4Adherence project is part of Erasmus Plus, which was initiated to effectively utilise human skills and promote lifelong learning. Prof. Przemysław Kardas, Head of Department of Family Medicine MUL, an expert on medication non-adherence, is the originator and the manager of Skills4Adherence Project.
