MUL in TOP THREE POLISH UNIVERSITIES IN THE WUR 2023 RANKING
The latest Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2023 (THE WUR 2023) was published on 12 October 2022. Medical University of Lodz made its successful debut as it was ranked third in the list of 32 classified Polish universities in this year’s ranking.
The top five included as many as three medical universities (rank in the world in brackets)
- Wroclaw Medical University (351-400)
- Jagiellonian University (601-800)
- Medical University of Lodz (601-800)
- Gdansk Medical University (801-1000)
- University of Warsaw (801-1000)
Our university again obtained the best results in knowledge transfer i.e., the number of citations which is the indicator that verifies whose research stood out and was further used and developed by other researchers and, most importantly, was made accessible globally.
Times Higher Education Ranking is one of the most recognised, largest and most diverse university rankings collecting worldwide data. The ranking is based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. The data is collected directly from the universities via a survey as well as Scopus database and the survey responses from scholars.
This year’s ranking included 1,799 universities of a variety of profiles across 104 countries.
