MUL SCIENTISTS AMONG TOP CITED RESEARCHERS WORLDWIDE
Stanford University, Elsevier Publishing and SciTech Strategies company compiled a list of 2% most-cited scientists which has been published in PLOS Biology. The list includes 726 researchers from Poland, with 7 scientists representing our University.
Prof. Tadeusz Robak (Department of Haematology) was ranked highest in the top ten of most influential Polish researchers.
The group of outstanding professionals also includes: Prof. Marek L. Kowalski (Department of Immunology and Allergy), Prof. Paweł P. Liberski (Department of Molecular Pathology and Neuropathology), Prof. Maciej Banach (Department of Arterial Hypertension), Prof. Piotr Kuna (Department of Internal Medicine, Asthma and Allergy), Prof. Jolanta Zawilska (Department of Pharmacodynamics), Prof. Jerzy Z. Nowak (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, professor emeritus).
The newly-developed database of most influential researchers included nearly 160 000 professionals representing 22 scientific fields divided into 176 more specific research areas. The total of the scientific accomplishments (by the year 2019) was taken into account according to bibliometric index which included such criteria as: Hirsch index, the number of citations (including self-citations), Impact Factor, the order and role of authors in a scientific paper (the first and the last place).
