We are pleased to inform that Joanna Zgliczyńska, a graduate at the Faculty of Medicine, won the 1^st award at the International Conference for Healthcare and Medical Students held in Dublin, 12-13 February 2021.

While in her 4^th year, together with a friend, Monika Weteska, as members of MUL Student Scientific Circle, the award winner conducted research at the Chair I of Gynaecology and Obstetrics  investigating vaginal bacterial flora and its relationship with disorders during pregnancy and neonatal period. Their work was supervised by Olga Olszak MD, an assistant at Perinatology Clinical Department (with Prof. Jarosław Kalinka as the Head of the Department) and Maria Szubert MD, PhD, an assistant professor at Oncological and Surgical Gynaecology Clinical Department headed by Prof. Jacek Wilczyński as well as under guidance of the scientific circle supervisors.
