The opening ceremony of the Healthy Ageing Research Centre (HARC) Conference “Translational Research in Healthy Ageing” was held on May 11. A large group of guests from Poland and abroad were welcomed by the Rector of the Medical University of Lodz, Prof. Paul Górski, M.D., Ph.D. and the representatives of the organizing committee of the conference – Prof. Lucyna Wozniak M.D., Ph.D. – Vice-Rector for Science and Prof. Marek Kowalski M.D.,Ph.D. – Director of the Research Center for Healthy Ageing.

The aim of the conference is to provide a comprehensive review of current research and the latest developments in the field of healthy and active ageing.

It is also an opportunity, especially for scientists and clinicians, to undertake discussions on the effective use of scientific findings in the clinical practice in some areas of gerontology.
