We are proud to announce that Professor Lucyna Woźniak PhD,DSc, Vice-Rector for International Relationsat the Medical University of Łódź, has been recognized in this year’s edition of the prestigious Forbes Women “50 Over 50” list.

The “50 Over 50” ranking highlights inspiring women who demonstrate that it is never too late for new beginnings, bold decisions, and the pursuit of ambitious dreams.

After turning fifty, Professor Woźniak made a courageous shift in both institution and research field—moving from the Polish Academy of Sciences and bioorganic chemistry to our university and molecular biology. She established the Department of Structural Biology, co-founded the Centre for Research on Healthy Ageing, secured 18 patents, and authored over 160 scientific publications. Active in both European and national bodies, she continues to inspire as a leader in science and international cooperation. In 2025, she was elected a corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
