A solemn, jubilee, pre-Christmas session of MUL Senate was held on 15 December 2022.

The list of invited guests included:

• Jolanta Kowalik-Gęsiak, the Director of the Department of Health, Lodz Province Office, as the representativeof  the Governor of Lodz,

• prof. Marek Pawlikowski,  Rector of the Medical Academy in 1987-1990,
• prof. Jan Chojnacki, the Commander, Rector of the Military Medical Academy (January 1998 till January 2002)
• prof. Henryk Stępień, Rector of the Medical Academy in 1996-2002
• prof. Tadeusz Robak,  Rector of the Medical Academy in September 2002

In his speech, prof. Radzisław Kordek, the Rector referred to the origin of MUL establishment and discussed the history and tradition which the university grew upon.

A lot has been going on for the last 20 years, we have  faced numerous highs and lows, yet, we have undoubtedly  become one of the largest medical universities in Poland, he emphasised.

The Rector expressed his appreciation to former  MUL Rectors and Vice-Rectors in the term of prof. Lewiński:

The Rector also thanked the employees who recently left the University or will retire at the end of the year.

In the second part of the ceremony, PhD diplomas and PhD with habilitation diplomas were awarded.

Habilitation degree was conferred to  16 people and 83 people received their PhD diplomas.

The ceremony was enriched by a unique performance of the University Choir, which put the guests in a truly Christmas mood.
