The Medical University of Łódź, together with the University of Łódź (project leader) and the Łódź University of Technology, is pleased to announce the launch of a unique initiative – ‘Lodzkie for International Researchers’ (Łódzkie4Re). The project is financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the NAWA-EURAXESS Network Programme – 2024 call for proposals. Total EU funding for the project: PLN 749,330.00.

The main objective of the project is to create a sustainable support network for foreign researchers, doctoral students and their families, as well as to develop the competence of the university administration in dealing with foreigners. The project responds to the growing need to provide a stable and friendly environment for international academic staff in Łódź.

Key activities:

• streamlining residence legalisation procedures in cooperation with authorities,
• hiring a Mobile Researcher Assistant to provide individual assistance,
• training and study visits for administrative staff,
• development of a digital ‘Essential Guide for Foreign Researchers’,
• joining the European EURAXESS network,
• organisation of matchmaking meetings for researchers,
• activities promoting universities, the region and researchers’ profiles,
• development of a network of cooperation with regional institutions.
