SHORT DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH ACTIVITY
The scientific research conducted in our Department focuses on two different areas:
a) Synthesis and biological evaluation of new opioid peptide analogs.
b) Assessment of anticancer activity of new synthetic analogs of naturally occurring compounds.

Keywords: apoptosis, cell cycle arrest, DNA damage, cancerous and non-cancerous cell lines, opioid receptors, chemical modifications, receptor affinity assessment, functional assay, antinociceptive activity
