SHORT DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH ACTIVITY
Department of Neurology and Stroke has been scientifically dealing with multiple sclerosis and stroke pathogenesis. Our publications concern the involvement of chemokines in development of autoimmune demyelination of the central nervous system(CNS),migration of Th17 lymphocytes to the CNS in the early stage of neuroinflammation, and the use of microRNA as potential biomarkers of multiple sclerosis activity. The research is carried out in vitro or based on experimental animal models, as well as using samples from patients
