DEPARTMENT OF MOLECULAR CELL MECHANISMS

Research area: investigation of the molecular mechanisms involved in colorectal cancer progression, including epithelial and endothelial to mesenchymal transitions (EMT and EndMT); characterization of the novel pathways engaged in the cytoskeleton reorganization (involving such proteins as MRTF, beta-tubulins and filamin A), which lead to the increased cell migration and invasiveness and analysis of the mechanisms regulating endothelial cell senescence that underlie pathologies of the cardiovascular system.
